Data Engineer | Financial Services Migration
Join a leading Financial Services organisation at the forefront of a major, multi-year Customer Migration project. As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building the high-performance pipelines required to move millions of records into a modern Azure cloud environment, ensuring data integrity and excellence in a high-visibility, regulated environment.
What You Will Do:
Design, develop, and optimise robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, and Databricks.
Utilise dbt (data build tool) to manage transformation layers and complex data modelling.
Collaborate closely with Architects and stakeholders to execute large-scale data migration strategies.
Ensure stringent standards for data quality and governance are maintained during the transition.
Work within a cutting-edge Azure "Modern Data Stack" to ensure system performance and scalability.
What You Need to Apply for This Role:
Extensive experience building scalable data solutions using Databricks and Spark.
Proficiency in dbt for managing data transformations and documentation.
Expert-level engineering skills in both Python and SQL.
Deep familiarity with the Azure ecosystem, including Data Factory and ADLS Gen2.
Proven experience in data migrations, ideally within the Banking or Financial Services sector.
